Walk to the cave
In 45 minutes
From Casa Lobera you can walk to the La Fájara cave. This is a real cave with no lights. Exciting! You will walk through unspoiled nature and reach the cave in about 45 minutes. It is not easy to discover its entrance but we will explain it to you.

2065 meters
If you are an experienced hiker you can climb the Maroma (2065 meters) in the Sierra Tejeda. This is the highest point of the province of Málaga. The view over Axarquía is breathtaking. From a protruding rock you have views over the nearby area of Granada and the other hand over the distant countries of Africa.

El Saltillo
Hiking trail with a spectacular suspension bridge
El Saltillo is also called the second Caminito del Rey, the brother of the Caminito del Rey or the Caminito del Rey of the Axarquía. This trail is part of the Gran Senda de Málaga (GR249), a walking route network through the province of Málaga.
The section between Canillas de Aceituno and Sedella (Etapa 7) has a spectacular suspension bridge of 50 meters long over a gorge of 50 meters deep since 2020. The hiking trail through unspoilt nature with beautiful views has an intersection where you can choose either to go straight to the waterfalls or turn right down towards the suspension bridge and on to Sedella. This is indicated by signs.
The trail is free of charge. You can start the walk from our village Canillas de Aceituno or directly from your holiday home at Casa Lobera. Walking shoes on and go! Although the hiking trail is easy to walk, it is not suitable for small children, the elderly and those who are afraid of heights because the path is narrow and goes along steep mountain slopes.
