From Casa Lobera you can walk to the La Fájara cave. This is a real cave with no lights. Exciting! You will walk through unspoiled nature and reach the cave in about 45 minutes. It is not easy to discover its entrance but we will explain it to you.Check out the houses at Casa Lobera
If you are an experienced hiker you can climb the Maroma (2065 meters) in the Sierra Tejeda. This is the highest point of the province of Málaga. The view over Axarquía is breathtaking. From a protruding rock you have views over the nearby area of Granada and the other hand over the distant countries of Africa.Stel een vraag
Works are currently taking place to improve this route and to place a suspension bridge, reason why it is temporarily closed to the public. We will report it as soon as the route is open, expected after the summer of 2020.
El Saltillo, the walk to the falls, is also called the second Caminito del Rey, the brother of the Caminito del Rey or The Caminito del Rey of the Axarquía. We have had guests who thought the Saltillo even a nicer walk than the Caminito because it is more natural.
From our village Canillas de Aceituno you can take this walk offering beautiful views. You will reach the waterfalls in about 1,5 hours. On the way you will come across two restored walkways in the Almanchares gorge. The route is easy to walk but as the path is sometimes narrow and also goes along steep mountain slopes, this walk is not suitable for small children, the elderly and those who are afraid of heights.Check out our holiday homes
Together with Aletta and Martin we made a pleasant and beautiful nature walk from Casa Lobera. Their hospitality is unprecedented; they are always there for you. As we said two years ago, it is a beautiful location with good holiday homes, easily accessible and a perfect starting point to visit beautiful cities, the beach and all kinds of sights. All we can say is, you really have to give it a try.Corine and Fred
